Itinerary

SHAN STATE ETHNIC MINORITIES

Note: This detour programme can be added to any tours passing through Heho.

Transfer to Heho Airport and fly to Keng Tung. In the evening start the city tour of Keng Tung, the most scenic tour in the Shan State, built around a lake and doted with aging Buddhist Temples, crumbling British colonial building. Sightseeing includes Phra Sao Lung monastery (Maha Myat Muni); Shan monastery and sunset and panoramic scenery of  Kengtung  at “one tree hill ".

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning visit to Keng Tung Market where one can see various hill tribes in traditional costumes from nearby villages carrying on age old tradition of their petty trades. Then paid a visit to Akha, and Shan villages, 30 kung and visit lacquare factory.

Lunch will be served kilometer northwest of Keng Tung and explore their way of life. In the evening drive back to Keng Tat local restaurant during the tour.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning excursion to the north east of Keng Tung and visit Ann village; Ah Khu village and Shan village. Then drive back to Keng Tung. Then transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho.

Lunch wil be served at local restaurant.
