Itinerary

Thailand border -Tachileik - Kengtung - Inle Lake - Mandalay
- Bagan - Yangon (9 days/ 8 nights)
Departure from Yangon, Private basis: daily

- We need all the clients full datas ( names/place & date of issued/expired/ nationality/ passport no) atleast one month ahead to apply special border pass permit in advance.

- Mid May to mid October is rainy season in Myanmar and we use to have heavy rain in lower Myanmar and scattered rain in Upper Myanmar. Visit in Kengtung can be limited if the road conditions are not favourable due to rain but we will try our best to follow the original programme.

Day 01  Tachileik-Kengtung: by flight   (D)

Arrive from Thailand through Border
Across the boarder to Friendship Bridge from Maesai. Transfer to Tachileik Airport to take the flight to Kengtung. Transfer to hotel for check in.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 02  Keng Tung   (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning visit to Keng Tung Market where one Khan see various hill tribes in traditional costumes from nearby villages carrying on age old tradition of their petty trades. Then paid to visit to Akha, and Shan villages, 30kilometer northwests of Keng Tung and explore their way of life. In the evening drive back to Keng Tung and visit lacquare factory.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 03  Keng Tung- Heho: by flight / Heho-Inle: by car & boat   (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning start the city tour of Keng Tung, the most scenic tour in the Shan State, built around to lake and doted with aging Buddhist Temples, crumbling British colonial building. Sightseeing includes Pha Jap Lung monastery (Maha Myat Muni); shan monastery and sunset and panoramic scenery of Kengtung at "one tree hill".

Lunch will be served at local restaurant during the sightseeing.
Transfer to Airport for the flight to Heho. Transfer from Heho airport to Inle lake, well known for its scenic beauty and its unique leg rower. Transfer to hotel for check in.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 04  Inle: excursion by boat   (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning visit to Indein Pagoda complex is situated on the west bank of Inle Lake. The group of pagodas is built by Pa-O tribes. It takes about 1 ½ by boat from Nyaung Shwe. This is one of the scenic boat tours in Inle. When the boat reaches Indein market, walk along the covered stairway to reach 1050 hidden pagodas of Indein.

Lunch at local restaurant duriung sightseeing. (Please note that the floating market is once every 5 days, but may vary according to the Buddhist Sabathdays).
Tour highlights include Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating gardens; native method of fishing; traditional weaving villages; and village life in the lake.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 05  Heho-Mandalay: by flight (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning transfer to airport to take a flight to Mandalay, the last Capital of Myanmar monarch. Excursion to Ancient Capital Amarapura, 11 Kilometers south of Mandalay visiting Mahagandayon monastery; 1.2 kilometer long U Bein Wooden Bridge and visit silk-weaving factory.

Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, visit Maha Muni Buddha Image and handy crafts workshops such as goldsmith, woodcarvings etc. Then proceed to Shwe Kyaung, and end up the day with Mandalay Hill, the vantage point for the view of Mandalay.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 06  Mandalay-Mingun-Inwa-Sagaing: by boat and car (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Morning excursion to Mingun, a village on the western bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Tour highlights include Settawya Pagoda with a marble foot print of Buddha; Pondawyapaya, nearby the river; Pahtodawgyi, an enormous pile of bricks is all that remains of King Bodawpaya's grandiose scheme; Mingun Bell, the world's largest ringing bell weighing 90 tons; Mingun Village; and Shinbume Pagoda, most attractive pagoda built in 1816 by King Bodawpaya's grandson in memory of one of his wives.

Lunch at the local restaurant.
After coming back from Mingun, visit Inwa and Sagaing, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Return to Mandalay.

Day 07  Mandalay-Bagan: by flight  (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Transfer to Airport and take a flight to Bagan, the Ancient Capital and Birth place of Myanmar Culture. Morning sightseeing begins with visit to the Nyaung Oo Market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar satupas; Wetkyi-in Gubyakkyi Temple, with fine mural paintings of jataka scenes; Htilominlo Temple, noted for its plaster carvings and visit lacquerware factory.

Lunch at the local restaurant.
Afternoon visit begins with Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; Thatbyinnyu , the highest of Bagan temples; and end the day with Bupaya Pagoda, a Pyu style pagoda on the brink of majestic Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy River).

Dinner at hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 08  Bagan-Yangon: by flight (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to airport to take the flight to Yangon. Transfer to Hotel for check in.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
Afternoon, excursion to Shwe Dagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world and the most venerated Buddhist Monument in Myanmar, where one can see the lifestyle of Myanmar People.

Dinner at hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09  Yangon-International departure   (B)

Morning transfer to Yangon International Airport for the International Departure flight.
