Itinerary

RAKHINE STATE (Arakan): MRAUK-U TEMPLES - CHIN, THET, SHAKAMA and MYO TRIBES VILLAGES
( 5 days / 4 nights)
Please Note: Due to the water level and its current flow, the duration of the boat trip from Sittwe to Mrauk U will take approximately( 4-5hr for Groups) and (6-8hr for individuals and mini group).

Day 01 : Yangon-Sittwe: by flight / Sittwe-Myauk U: by boat (L,D)

Late morning transfer to Yangon Airport to take the flight to Sittwe. Upon arrival in Sittwe, welcome at Sittwe Airport by the guide.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant (it is depending on the domestic flight time whether in Yangon or Sittwe).
Proceed to wharf to take a boat trip up the Kalatan River to Myauk U, the ancient Capital of Arakanese Kingdom. On the way, enjoy the scenery along the river. Arrive Myauk U and check in hotel.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Myauk U and Thet or Shakama Tribes Villages (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel.
Visit of Myauk-U archeological site: Shittaung temple, Sakya Mannaung and Yadana Mannaung Pagodas, Koe Thaung temple, Laung Boon Brouk Pagoda and Pitakat Library.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
Afternoon visit a Thet or Shakama tribe village.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 : Chin Tribe Village (B,L,D)

Around 6 a.m. departure to a Chin tribe village, 45 miles from Myauk-u. Breakfast and Lunch en route.
Visit to the village where some tattooed face old women live. If desired it is possible to trek on the mountain to visit other villages. Return back to Myauk-U in the evening.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 : Myauk U-Sittwe: by boat (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to jetty and take the private boat to Sittwe.

Lunch on board.
On the way stop in a Myo traditional style village. On arrival in Sittwe transfer to hotel.

Dinner at hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 : Sittwe Departure (B,L)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning visit Fish Market, Rakhine State cultural Museum, Mahacusala Monastery, Payagyi temple, Buddhistic Museum and Munimaha novices monastery. Transfer to Sittwe Airport.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant (it is depending on the domestic flight time whether in Yangon or Sittwe).

Please note: In the rainy season, Chin tribe village excursion is subject to weather condition. If the weather is not permitted to go, we will arrange the visit around Mrauk U.
